My favorite Restaurants in Chattanooga

Ok, this really has nothing to do with portraits or posing or anything like that, but it is totally something we need to talk about. Food! So many of you are just moving to the area and are asking all the deets, so I want to throw out a few of my favorite restaurants in Chattanooga.

  1. State of Confusion

Mostly because of the unique seating situations, especially during 2020. The outdoor seating has been amazing this year and we even just ate there tonight. Maybe that is why I had the sudden urge to share my favorite food spots. They have tons of heaters and fireplaces, and I recommend getting there early on a weekend if you want to be warm. But Pre-Covid winters, they had these amazing igloo things that were sooo cool, especially if you have kids that keep trying to play tag around a pit full of fire. I don’t have any specific suggestions, it’s all good, but my husband says the steak is like butter.

  2. Sitar

Maybe it is my Ancestry Confirmed Indian blood, but the Tikka Masala here is so freaking delicious. It is actually one of the few Indian restaurants I can get my mostly Irish husband to frequent. We can tell them exactly how hot we want our dishes, the samosas are incredible and they never let you run out of water. Be sure to order 3 servings of the naan bread, because you will want to eat as much as possible.

  3. Ruby Sunshine

Ok, this one is kind of new and I’ve only been there with my friends at the Chattanooga Mom’s Blog, but they were so delish and I am cyber stalking them during the pandemic. We just aren’t taking the kids in places like we used to, but I can totally see this place being a routine weekend breakfast in 2021.

  4. Stir

Well, I love everything about the Chattanooga Choo Choo, so it is only natural that I like Stir. I’ve never ordered anything bad, but I must say, I go for the drinks and the atmosphere. This is a sans kids place (unless your babysitter backs out on Valentine’s Day…) and the drinks prove it. I like sitting outside on nice nights and watching the city as I relax with the girls or my main squeeze.

  5. Puckets

This has been our go to place for a while. Our old summers will filled with water play and aquarium trips and Puckets is so convenient to all of that. Not to mention their Breakfast Buffet! The kids love it and I could usually squeeze a walk in somewhere nearby.

There are obviously sooooo many more amazing restaurants in this foodie city. I actually would love to make a list and go out on a mission. Maybe I can add that to my 2021 goal list. Want to join or know of a great hole in the wall? Drop it below.
