Jessica is a Navy Veteran that resides on Signal Mountain with her husband, 2 children and 2 dogs. She served 3 maritime deployments on the USS Enterprise aircraft carrier as a Fire Controlman in the Combat Systems Department. She was trained in advance electronics, tactical weapons coordination, fire fighting, ordnance crane operation, and other assigned combat system duties during her 6-year contract.

After pursuing a few new career choices, she fell in love with business and marketing during her ownership of Tummy Time, a newborn and baby boutique in Carrollton, Georgia and even earned Baby Boutique of the Year - Georgia, after only one year in business.

This is also where she picked up her first camera. After a few impromptu newborn shoots, her clientele quickly grew and her Boutique transitioned into a partial Studio. Despite the great reception of the storefront, Jessica and her husband Jonathan were longing for a bigger city to raise their growing family.

In the spring of 2019 the Pope family settled in the blossoming city of Chattanooga, more specifically, Signal Mountain. Jessica hit the ground running. She quickly built her network and launched under the name Venya Portrait providing the women of the Scenic City with modern glamour style photo shoots. During this time, she also completed her degree in Marketing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Completing a lifelong dream of being a first-generation college graduate.

Her studio mission is to provide her clients with an amazing experience that leaves them feeling beautiful, confident, and alive. She is equally passionate about leaving her clients with images that are worthy enough to pass down for generations to come.

Jessica tries to work out regularly, wastes time on Pinterest & Tiktok, and loves a good book, fiction and non-fiction alike. She enjoys relaxing with friends in her stretchy pants, reading, and listening/watching all things murder, mystery, and true crime.
