DSLR cameras are a great way to capture memories. DSLR cameras have many settings, from the camera's aperture setting to its shutter speed, and these all affect your images. Knowing how they work can make you a better photographer!

DSLR stands for Digital Single Lens Reflex camera--meaning that the photographer sees the image through a mirror, then it is reflected onto a digital sensor before being projected onto the LCD screen. DSLRs come with many different settings to help you take better photos. Here are some of the DSLR camera settings to know!

DSLR camera settings can be divided into two categories: Shooting mode and Camera settings.

Shooting mode is what decides how your photo will look. There are four different shooting modes on a DSLR: Programmed Auto, Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, and Manual. Programmed auto is the easiest mode to use; the camera will automatically choose the best settings for the photo. Aperture priority lets you choose the aperture (f-stop) while the camera chooses the shutter speed. Shutter priority lets you choose the shutter speed while the camera chooses the aperture.

DSLR cameras usually have a range of shutter speeds, which is the length of time that the shutter is open. This can affect things like the amount of motion blur in a photo, and how much light is let in. Most DSLRs have settings that go from 1/4000th of a second to 30 second.

The ISO on a DSLR camera is the sensitivity of the image sensor to light. It is measured in terms of an ISO number, which is an arbitrary scale that assigns a value to a particular level of sensitivity. The higher the ISO number, the more sensitive the image sensor will be to light. This means that the camera will be able to capture images in low-light situations with less noise. However, it also means that there will be an increase in the amount of digital noise in the images.

DSLR cameras are a great investment for anyone interested in photography.
